Who I am

My website address is: http://eox.no.

What personal data I collect and why I collect it

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site  the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. If you wish to delete your comment/review, just send me a message through the contact form and I’ll delete it at your request.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you have an account and you log in to this site, I will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, I will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

Who we share your data with

Nobody! If I could, I wouldn’t even require any data from either of you since I’m on your side of things  when it comes to big corporations and their Big Data. But I obviously need to collect the bare necessities so that I can ship the items you order to you and be able to resolve any situation where purchased items are lost or damaged. Unfortunately the WooCommerce store plugin doesn’t differ between physical items vs digital download when checking out so those only ordering downloads also have to enter shipping/billing addresses, but I promise these data will not be used for anything except be of use to you should you order something physical later on. 🙂

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so it can recognized and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any),  personal information they provide in their user profile is stored just for the purpose of maintaining ease of use should you return to purchase more items and to give you a digital download link for the purhcases you’ve bought. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Should you want to remove all of your data on my site, please send me a message and I’ll do so.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data I hold about you, including any data you have provided to me. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data I’m obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where we send your data

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service in the WordPress site plugin, nowhere else.

Additional information

How we protect your data

On the main server where my site is hosted, there is Imunify360 running at all times monitoring all data transfers plus on the lower levels, access to the admin panel is restricted to just a few disclosed IP addresses. Two factor verification is in the process of being enabled as a third security layer.

What data breach procedures we have in place

In the unlikely event that my site should be hacked and data stolen, I’ll of course notify you all as quickly as possible so you can change your passwords.

What automated decision making and/or profiling we do with user data

Nothing. Data is not being processed at all and are just stored in the database to keep track over orders and who bought what. Who you are, where you’re from and what you had for breakfast is of no importance to me, neither is selling it to others. It’s just nice to see which country you’re from and cool to see who out there are interested in my music. That’s all. 🙂
